Origin: Tokuyama City, Yamaguchi Prefecture
This stone has a historical significance and was once considered so sacred that it was called "kami" (god), and people were discouraged from approaching it. Most of the history has been lost.
It is rare due to its connection to specific geological conditions, making it unique.
The stone is famous for its connection to Japan’s natural history and is known for its production of high-quality material.
Its color does not change much due to its scarcity, and it contains high levels of iron, which is a notable characteristic.
