This crystal is mined in Kurobera, at the foot of Kurofuji, one of the 100 famous mountains of Yamanashi Prefecture.

Around 1830, Tamasuri Yasuke, who came from Kyoto, taught the crystal polishing techniques to the priests of Mount Mitake, which is said to mark the beginning of the distribution of Yamanashi crystals.

Clear quartz is considered the “king of power stones,” a stone that purifies all, unlocks hidden potential, wards off evil, and guides good fortune. It is believed to embody all kinds of spiritual power.

Crystals from Kurobera are rare and have become difficult to obtain today.
