Meanings: Reviving mental and physical energy, warding off evil spirits, cleansing 

 

It is widely distributed in the Ryukyu Islands, and in Okinawa Prefecture in particular, it occupies about 30% of the land. It is a porous sedimentary rock mainly composed of calcium carbonate, formed by the accumulation of coral reefs and shells in the sea more than tens of thousands of years ago. The maximum depth of the deposited layer is 150 meters. It was formed on the seabed in shallow waters, and when it was exposed to the air, it recrystallized and became hard and resistant to erosion. It has been used as a building material in Okinawa Prefecture since ancient times, and is used for stone paving, stone walls, Shuri Castle and tombs, and is still familiar to the people of Okinawa today. It has excellent moisture retention and breathability, low thermal conductivity, and beautiful fossil patterns, which are its charms.

Ryukyu stone cannot exert its power when it gets dusty. Regular maintenance will bring out its energy. Combine it with a shisa can maximize its power. Be sure to place the shisa facing the entrance. It exerts "good fortune" and " exorcise evil spirits".
