This andesite is collected from Mount Tomuro and Mount Io, and is said to have been created during an undersea volcanic eruption 15 million years ago during the Neogene Miocene. A paper was presented at an American academic conference that claims that Mount Io is also enshrined as a sacred mountain. Not only is Bhaiṣajyaguru the local Buddha, but also known as a lightning strike area. The energy of thunderbolts acts on the rocks and plants of the Mount Tomuro and Mount Io range, making many medicinal herbs grow there, and improving the quality of the water and make it become famous.
