What is a "Meiseki" Japan Stone

Nihon Meiseki (Japanese Stones) are stones produced in various parts of Japan that are registered in the stone list prescribed by the Japan Stone Association.

This mineral has "all-embracing charm as a stone" that should be shared worldwide, cause of the origin, history, color, and structure. Items whose value is recognized can be Nihon Meiseki.

Meiseki (Japanese Stone) are classified into several conditions depending on the item.

・Produced in areas with outstanding cultural and universal value.

・The stones themselves have historical significance.

・Things that have value that should be increased due to their rarity, etc.

 ・Stones that are recognized as having geological and mineralogical appeal.

 ・Items that have become or have the potential to be difficult to pass on to future generations.
